The Italy-ASEAN Association is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Milan, in Corso Buenos Aires 56.
The inauguration was held on July 18, 2019, with the participation - among others - of the President of the Italy-ASEAN Association Enrico Lettathe Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, the Regional Councillor for Environment and Climate Raffaele Cattaneo, the Councillor for Culture of the City of Milan Filippo Del Corno the Rector of the Polytechnic of Milan Ferruccio Resta.
The Italy-ASEAN association was born in 2015 from an idea of Enrico Letta, with the aim of strengthening dialogue and exchanges between our country and those of ASEAN.
Its members include AREL (Agenzia di Ricerca e Legislazione), Ariston, Enel, Eni, Federalimentari, FederlegnoAreddo, Fincantieri, UCIMU-Sistemi per produrre, HSBC, Intesa SanPaolo, Isagro, PwC, SAIPEM, The European House-Ambrosetti, UBI Banca and UniCredit.
Since its foundation, the Association has organized more than 60 meetings, during which it has been possible both to deepen the development opportunities offered by the region of Southeast Asia and to create direct channels of contact with companies and institutions of the ASEAN countries. In particular, the third High Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations was held in Hanoi at the beginning of June 2019, with the participation of Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and over 500 entrepreneurs and top managers.
The decision to open a second office, which will be set up alongside the one in Rome, is based on the good results achieved by the Association in its first years of activity and is dictated by the ambition to broaden the scope of action of the Association, both from a geographical point of view and with regard to the issues touched upon.
